Southwest Insurance Management Group was founded in 1999 by Michael Maples. Now located in Flower Mound, TX, SIMG proudly services its clients with all their personal and commercial insurance needs. Still working closely with many of the same carriers he started with, Michael has grown his agency partnership to over 20 different carriers and increased his outreach to 11 states and counting!
The insurance industry has grown tremendously since 1999, and SIMG has grown alongside it. Our company has weathered two recessions, five catastrophic weather events, and so much more. Through it all, we continue to evolve with technology and social media to meet the increasingly unique ways that consumers shop for insurance products.
We pride ourselves on the ability to educate our clients on what coverage is best suited to their lifestyles and assets. Above all else, our top priority is providing exceptional customer service and a positive customer experience.
SIMG’s history reflects our deep ties to the community and to the nation. In the coming years, we aim to expand, continue to provide the best rates in the marketplace to our client base, and grow our expertise.
Michael is a native Texan, having been born and raised right here in Dallas. He became an insurance agent in 1999, owning an Allstate agency for two years. Ultimately, Michael felt that being an independent agent was better for himself, his business, and his clients, so he sold his Allstate agency and formed Southwest Insurance Management Group in 2001. The business began in Duncanville, TX and moved to Highland Village in 2010, where Michael now lives. In his free time, he loves to golf, go to Texas Rangers baseball games, and travel. Michael and his fiancée have two daughters, and a sweet dog named Ranger.
Bradie was born and raised in a small town in east Texas, graduating from Longview High School and moving to Denton County in 2017. She has years of customer service experience and joined the SIMG family in April 2021. In her free time she is an active member of her local church and enjoys reading, writing, and nature. Bradie lives in Lewisville with her husband Caleb and cat Kona.
Mariah, too, is a native Texan; she grew up in a small-town west of Fort Worth and graduated from Aledo High School. She moved to Denton County in 2018 and acquired her insurance license in the summer of 2021. Mariah came on board with over 10 years’ experience in customer service and client relations. Her main duties with the agency include Marketing Manager and Sales Representative but like all SIMG staff, she is always ready and available to help clients with whatever it is they may need. When not at work, she enjoys staying active with her two amazing kids! Some of her favorite hobbies include: boating, fishing, traveling and online shopping!
Danielle joined SIMG in the summer of 2023. Born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, she is a true Texan at heart. As a newly relocated Dallas resident, she looks forward to experiencing all that the DFW has to offer! Danielle began her journey in insurance in 2021, has numerous years of customer service experience, and prides herself on her ability to go the extra mile for her clients. She enjoys spending her time with her beloved dog, Chloe, and cheering on her favorite teams, including the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers.
Michelle joined SIMG in the summer of 2022. Originally from Wyoming, she moved to Texas in 2012 to seek new opportunities for her family. As a mother of two, she values goal-setting and prioritizes providing exceptional customer service. With her background in customer service and her recent acquisition of a license in 2022, she is eager to serve SIMG's clientele. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors, dancing, and shopping online.
